HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Associate Consultant with 0-3 years of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering experience to add to our growing team. The Associate Consultant will be responsible for supporting Project Managers and Licensed Professional Engineers in completing assigned projects within the environmental investigation, remediation, storm water, and civil engineering fields. Opportunities are also available for collaborating with the Senior Managers and Practice Leaders on multi-faceted projects and working on developing a wide breadth of engineering core competencies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of technical reports, calculations, construction and engineering designs within the civil engineering and environmental remediation arenas.
- Support environmental and/or civil projects or tasks which may include earthwork/grading, stormwater, wastewater, remediation, waste management, and restoration.
- Assist in the preparation and review of studies, contract plans, permitting requirements and cost estimates to help clients evaluation options and provide solutions.
- Oversight of construction sites, including safety oversight, toolbox talks, inspections, and direction of site tasked activities.
- To communicate professionally with co-workers and a variety of clients including private clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
REQUIREMENTS: - BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
- 2+ years preferred of field or construction inspection experience in engineering practice.
SEEKING EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS, BUT NOT REQUIRED: - Environmental engineering construction, demolition, and remediation support engineering including contaminated soils and sediment.
- Civil engineering construction related projects, including but not limited to site development, stormwater controls and inspection, construction inspections, and dams.
- Sustainable and renewable energy design field related experience including but not limited to solar power and windfarms.
- Planning, design, permitting and construction phase services for site development and environmental remediation projects.
- Experience in linear utility project permitting in the northeast particularly in environmental permitting and coordination/oversight of surveys related to ecological and archeological resources, wetlands surveys, NDDB, etc.
- Design of environmental controls and site remediation for contaminated sites.
- Preparation of technical specifications and cost estimates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Hydro CAD, Hydraflow, and/or HEC-RAS is desirable.
